Leaders reveal 2014 event calendar
Building on the successes of last year’s events, Leaders have revealed their biggest and most ambitious schedule of events yet. With more events planned for 2014 than ever before, including a number taking place outside of the UK, this year looks set to build even further on Leaders’ ever-growing global footprint.
The list of 2014 events ranges from the flagship Leaders Sport Summit at Stamford Bridge on 8th and 9th October, which caters for over 1500 of the most top level executives, to the much more intimate ones, where a small number of carefully selected sports industry influencers gather for a private, media free roundtable discussion.
This year’s schedule also includes a host of brand new events and venues, such as the inaugural New York edition of the Leaders Sport Summit, taking place on 21st May at the Paley Center for Media, in Manhattan. With a meticulously selected guest list of 300, split between the USA and the rest of the world, only the most elite professionals will be in attendance. The Leaders tradition of enrolling only the highest calibre of speakers will continue in New York, aligning the event to previous ones where the likes of Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO, WPP Group; Kevin Roberts, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi; Austin Lally, President, Braun and Greg Dyke, Chairman, FA took to the stage.
Leaders will also stage two Leaders in Performance conferences this year, bringing together the key people who work tirelessly to achieve sporting excellence. 17th and 18th June sees New York host a global gathering of 350 Coaches, General Managers and Sporting and Performance Directors from all over the world, with the London event increasing in size and scale with 700 top performance experts expected, building on the previous 4 editions.
The sold out Leaders Sport Network event, this year hosted in Lisbon from 30th March to 1st April, rounds off a very busy year for Leaders. With 80 Director level delegates representing 16 sports and 12 countries, it’s the most senior and diverse gathering since its creation 5 years ago and the perfect opportunity to build relationships across sport.
James Worrall, CEO, Leaders commented: “The Leaders event calendar is continually evolving with more events than ever before in 2014. In expanding the calendar, we have seen strong interest from sport’s top executives to understand ways in which they can work collaboratively to take the sports industry forward and we are excited to be at the heart of that.”
